St Louis Cathedral Church
The French Quarter of New Orleans is built around St Louis Cathedral. In the surrounding areas, people sell art and other services like tarot and palm reading, wordsmith, and magic shows. The cathedral has a presence all day and particularly at night due to the way a Jesus statue is lit.
French Quarter Architecture

We visited the Garden District, which had some larger houses to window shop and an old cemetery.
This place was absolutely bizarre, but wonderful. Pictured are altars, voodoo dolls, fertility goddesses and more. Because I'm a doula, I bought myself a fertility goddess for my business. Fertility goddess statues are actually quite important anthropologically, as they are one of the first art forms that depicted the human body.
Of course New Orleans is all about people, lots of people and lots of fun! In this city, art and music quality are high and very appreciated in the culture. Here are some pictures of the crowds, myself and some of my pals.
